FESTIVAL ECHOES
SCREENING
Throughout the year, the SPORTFILM Festival visits major regional cities across the Czech Republic, bringing audiences the very best films from the previous festival edition. This year, the Festival Echoes have once again reached smaller towns in the Liberec Region, including Hrádek nad Nisou, Chrastava and Česká Lípa. Jablonec nad Nisou will also be part of the programme, with the Festival Echoes arriving on 30 September 2026.
The programme will feature screenings of inspiring sports films as well as a discussion with leading Czech mountaineer Marek Holeček, who will take the audience into the adrenaline-filled world of mountaineering and share his passion for the mountains.
The screenings will take place in the morning and are intended for schools. Advance booking is required via email at rezervace@sportiflm.cz.
Admission is free.

Eternal longing - 24 min + talk with Marek Holeček
Mountaineer and traveller Marek Holeček stars in director Tomáš Galásek’s cinematic poem about a love of vertical challenges, freedom, and unwavering determination. Eternal Longing follows Marek Holeček on an expedition in the Central Himalayas while looking back to the moment when, as a boy, he first overcame his fear and discovered the path that would shape his life. By intertwining the present with memories of the past, the film becomes a visual meditation on courage, the desire to push one’s limits, and the irresistible pull of the mountains.
