OVERVIEW

The film captures the extraordinary but tragically marked first ascent by Czech mountaineer Marek Holeček and Slovak climber Ondrej Húserka. In late October 2024, they made an alpine-style first ascent of the previously unclimbed east face of Nepal’s Langtang Lirung (7,227 m). After successfully reaching the summit, tragedy struck during the descent when Ondrej Húserka suffered a fatal fall into a glacial crevasse, where, despite every effort to save him, he lost his life.
