Bratislava, 1973. Young figure skater Ondrej Nepela is on the verge of the greatest triumph of his career. While the entire nation awaits his victory, he longs for only one thing – to escape the “golden cage” of socialist Czechoslovakia and perform with Holiday on Ice. However, the regime puts increasing pressure on his freedom, and before the decisive performance, Nepela must overcome his greatest opponent – himself.
