FESTIVAL ECHOES

Following up on last year’s success of the Festival Echoes, we are bringing the best of what Sportfilm 2024 had to offer to regional capital cities across the country. We’ve prepared a program full of films, discussions, exhibitions, and recordings from the conference for all fans of film and sport. Special blocks will be available for children, seniors, and adults, so that every generation can find something for themselves.

This year, for the first time, the Festival Echoes will also reach smaller towns in the Liberec Region. This way, Sportfilm will get even closer to its fans who missed last year’s edition in Liberec. We’re already looking forward to visiting Hrádek nad Nisou and Tanvald. More festival stops will be announced soon.

A key part of the Festival Echoes will be an exhibition of posters from international Oscar-winning sports films. Morning educational blocks for schools will conclude with a knowledge quiz and a competition for prizes.

The entire program will be hosted by Tomáš Budka, a sports journalist and commentator for Czech Television. Among the guests in the discussions will be mountaineer Mára Holeček, biker Michal Maroši, and documentary filmmaker and cameraman Martin Vrbický. Admission will be free for all visitors.

The Festival Echoes are gaining more and more popularity thanks to their diversity and authenticity. Each film offers not only an attractive visual experience, but above all strong emotions and motivation that resonate with audiences across generations. This traveling showcase demonstrates that sport and film share a common power – to inspire, connect people, and convey values that are timeless: fair play, determination, and belief in oneself.
