The cliff divers of La Quebrada in Acapulco, Guerrero, are a diverse group including boys, girls, young people, older adults, Afro-Mexicans and Indigenous people, who make a living by diving from the dangerous 30-metre-high cliffs into the sea as part of La Quebrada’s thrilling spectacle.

Patrycja Adler, a former Olympian who finished fourth in the 10,000 metres at the 1992 Barcelona Games, finds herself at a crossroads as she approaches fifty. Working as a PE teacher and raising her teenage daughter on her own, she is increasingly struggling with alcohol. Memories of the race that could have changed her life continue to haunt her, along with the question of what went wrong. An intimate drama about failure, family, trauma and finding the strength to start running again.
